Here’s a great guide on how to enjoy Oktoberfest if it’s your first time.

You race a mob of lads in leather shorts to find a seat in the packed, wooden tent. A busty barmaid whams down an enormous glass of beer. You drink to the cry of Prost! and get ready to do it again. Then you stroll outside and jump on the roller-coaster.

Youâ€™re pushed, pulled, stretched and slammed and decide this would have been a better idea before the beer!

Feeling hungry now? Nothing a plate of pork knuckles wouldnâ€™t fix. Easy to fill your belly here, if youâ€™ve got the coin for it. The sun goes down and you head back inside.

You start swinging your drink and singing along to the sound of oom-pah music. Soon youâ€™re dancing on the benches with a dozen friendly locals.

I have seen a ton of lightshows involving special events and Eiffel Tower but this one surely will be special because the event is about Eiffel Tower itself.

Here’s a good travel guide to Dubrovnik in Croatia. I’ve never been there but this could be a good read for your future travel plans.

When people talk about Croatian tourism what generally comes to mind is the gorgeous city of Dubrovnik, which is located on the southern coast. Dubrovnik is now one of the hot spots for tourism and for good reason, as the city is absolutely gorgeous, which is an understatement like saying Italy has decent food or the Eiffel Tower is a nice structure.

The city of Dubrovnik is spectacular itself, but the main tourist destination is inside the city walls. Inside the city walls there are gorgeous churches, many restaurants, shops, souvenir shops, and cafes. A visit to Dubrovnik is not complete without taking a walk on top of the city walls, where you can walk around the entire walled city center and have fantastic views of the coast and the lively town center. The walk takes a couple of hours, but it is something that canâ€™t be missed and it only costs around 50 kunas, which is only 5 pounds.

A 24 hour ride with a junky from Ibiza had landed me in the middle of Spain under a fig tree. I chewed some fruit and stared out at the burnt fields of olive trees and wheat. It wouldnâ€™t make a bad bed for the night. I put my bags in the shade and waited in the sun as Spanish drivers passed me with the contempt they reserved for gypsies, hippies and other itinerant scum.
